For one more junior team, new to HR function, I launched a weekly standup series called "HR Think Tank" the objective to look at no more than three core strategic, real-world issues related to what the team was working on. The purpose was to encourage deeper analysis and innovative solutions (more strategy less tactical). This achieved two things: 1. Going deeper on an issue through curiosity and questions, and 2. Hone the team's problem-solving skills. Ultimately it built the right mental muscle that fostered a culture of curiosity and innovation across the organization that boosted critical thinking about the function, and in a psychologically safe way.
