Know the changes that are there in the product. Understand the challenges by communicating with your team. If it's technical try to suggest alternative methods or routes to incorporate the changes, like connecting them to new suppliers for new ingredients etc. If the changes are tough to incorporate within the timeline, take that up with the customer and communicate which changes will be possible and while will not be within the timeline, and if the entire thing has to incorporated , how much more time will be needed. If the changes are logically and scientifically difficult to apply communicate that too with proper data backing.
