Achieving work life balance especially in our post pandemic new normal of work is not achieved without being intentional about it. As a manager, it’s important to not only find that balance for yourself and lead by example but to help your employees find their balance, as well. Flexible schedule, Remote access, Focus on productivity rather than long hours,can provide enough rest and leisure time to recharge and improve the productivity.

Lo primero y más importante: ?trátale como a una persona! De igual a igual y sin condescendencia (superioridad). Una vez se sienta cómodo/a, hazle saber que estás ahí para ayudarle en todo lo que esté en tu mano. Parece mentira que, con tanto avance tecnológico, nos cueste una barbaridad poder conciliar. Hoy en día, por el ritmo que llevamos, nos invaden las emociones de forma continua y "abrupta", por lo que no es sencillo lidiar con los problemas personales en nuestro trabajo, ni hacerlo con los problemas del "trabajo" una vez que terminamos nuestra jornada laboral. Tratad el asunto como mejora de la persona, mejora del equipo y mejora de la empresa. Un/a empleado/a "feliz" produce mucho más que alguien que no lo está. Así de sencillo.

Según mi experiencia es clave generar confianza y tratar de evitar las incertidumbres. Es imprescindible "parar" analizar la situación con rigor y a partir de ahí definir un plan de acción realista ... e inmediatamente ponerlo en marcha.

When life becomes too much to handle for an employee, support them in improving their performance with more helpful accommodations. Have a discreet and empathetic talk with your staff member to understand the problem that is bothering them. Work out probable solutions together; it might be an adjustment in workload, better prioritization, or flexible hours and remote working. Encourage such time management skills as to draw boundaries between working and personal hours, and encourage reaching out for resources offered by the company, such as wellness programs or mental health support. Showing empathy but at the same time offering practical solutions puts them in control to rebalance and reduce stress, thus performing better.

Para ayudar a un empleado abrumado a mejorar su equilibrio entre el trabajo y la vida personal, primero establece una conversación abierta y empática para comprender sus desafíos específicos. Ofrece flexibilidad en el horario o la opción de trabajar de forma remota, si es posible.
