Remember your slides are not your presentation - "you" are. Your slides only "contributes" to the medium of your idea. It's your voice that carries the idea. It's your body that shapes the idea. It's YOU that provides an experience of your idea to the Audience. So, it's entirely "YOU" that gives a presentation - and NOT your slides. First of all, you should NEVER be totally dependent upon the slides, you have the more potential than the slides or you have the ONLY potential (remember that). And you wouldn't want "your" Audience to be focused upon your slides more than "yourself". It's always you that conveys the idea of the presentation - your voice and your body. Think about yourself - Would you even remember anything from slide?
