When a client is struggling with low confidence, my approach is to help them understand its root cause. Confidence often stems from knowing what’s happening, having accurate information, and building strong knowledge in their field. When we are well-informed and well-prepared, there’s no need to feel diminished or uncertain. Knowledge empowers us—it's a powerful tool that drives confidence, resilience, and success. This understanding is key to motivating individuals to reach their potential and face challenges with assurance.

Often, when people are struggling with low confidence, it is an issue of self-worth VS self-esteem. What they think of themselves VS what they think or feel others may think of them and this creates a loss of confidence and a belief they are either not capable or worthy of success and happiness. In these moments, the most powerful thing you can do is to show your own humanity. These feelings are natural as we grow, and break down barriers in our lives that have hindered us. Show your client that you, just like them have or have had these struggles and it is actually a positive benchmark of progress, as it shows they are pushing themselves out of their comfort zones and this deserves praise. Increased confidence and self-belief follow.
