Rubbing can cause swirl marks and scratches. Work in sections and use a different towel for each part of your car. Don't forget to dry the windows, mirrors, and wheels as well.

3 Clay your car

The third step is to clay your car. This will remove the embedded dirt, tar, sap, and other contaminants that washing can't. These can make your paint feel rough and look dull. Use a clay bar or a clay mitt that is designed for automotive paint. Spray a clay lubricant on a small area of your car and glide the clay over it. In my experience as a vehicle wrap shop owner, consider wrapping your car. Pair this with a professional car detail and maybe a few other TLC items on your car and it will make your vehicle feel brand new again. It can very easily spark that new car feeling and pride you had in it when you first purchased it without breaking the bank or putting yourself into debt.
