Your candidate doesn't show up for an interview. How do you handle client expectations in this situation?

Take a deep breathe before you call the candidate and go into it with an open mind so you don't put them on the defensive. While we all hope that a candidate would inform us immediately if there is any reason that they would be late to an interview, the truth is that life happens. You want to make the candidate comfortable so you can get as honest of an answer as possible. Use your intuition, knowledge of the client and relationship with the candidate to determine if this is likely a one-off bad situation, or a behavior that will be repeated. If it's the later, you likely do not want to bother rescheduling the interview.

Recruitment is more about probability,forecasting & strategies one can't assure or commit on joining or availability of candidates but knowing this fact it's essential to have backup plan & do due diligence to avoid last minute surprises specially at front of client. >Follow up on candidate availability or prior intimation on the day of schedule is vital to avoid last minute updates >Communicate with candidate understand reason behind unavailability or no show if valid work on rescheduling. >Keep back up ready take consent from additional candidate for the same slot incase of changes >Update client about unavailability of candidate clarifying reason & assuring backup plan to expedite hiring & Prioritizing fulfillment.
