As a programmer, when beginning to learn a new language one of the thing that I found really beneficial was to explain your piece of code to a mentee but through a chat or an email or through a forum. This helps you learn explaining skills which indeed can help you grow your writing skills. Ofcourse writing clear code and adding comments will definitely help to polish your writing skills, but the more practical examples you follow, the more you improve. Try to give feedback or suggest improvement on someone else's code through online communities like Github, Discord etc.
