Most of the time lending a patient ear does solve a large chunk of the issues, and other times finding a middle ground and keeping the concerned in different projects mitigate the problem.

If you start solving a problem the team doesn't perceive as existing, you lose some credibility and waste time. Most people want to do a good job, and they will know what they need to get it done... so ask.
