LinkedIn is not the typical place people think of for networking in Web3, however it tends to be where the real opportunities are such as trustworthy advice, job postings for Web3 jobs, and learning from experts in the space.

One thing I've found helpful is attending IRL events. Sometimes price can be a factor here as not all events are free like ETHDenver or local happy hour style meetups. However, to work around this, you can start a blog if you don't already have one. Then, offer the event to provide coverage on your blog. This can be a media partnership, especially for events just starting out. It can also just be a simple press pass that would get you access to interview key personnel. A lot of speakers at these events are hungry for more coverage on their projects. Make it a goal to interview 5 founders at every new event. And see what the results are in 3 months, a year, and 5 years. You will surprise yourself at how fast your network will grow!

Meetup.com is your friend! Especially during a bull market, they are so many people here to connect with others and be able to have IRL conversations about what’s going on in the markets. Go to meet up search some key terms and you’re sure to find a group that is being organized. And if you are the organizing type, start your own, you do not have to be an expert to start a meet up. Just interested and curious.

One thing I find helpful with creating content is just literally sharing what you’re learning as you learn. It’s so easy to be discouraged because you don’t feel like you have enough expertise. The reality is we are all here learning and you sharing your learning experience is definitely going to help someone else. So choose the format of content that you like the most and post away.
