You have to have a good read on what your customer/audience is expecting. Sometimes tens of thousand of dollars can be spent (and weeks of time) with simulations, animations, 3D printing or CNC machining and really nice paint jobs. Other times a big success can be had with some folded cardboard. Always try to exceed the expectations of the audience.
