Another thing to consider is the type of VCs. Is it early-stage, late-stage, or CVC? They all require different skill sets.

While I'm sure you can become a VC academically. You will be much more successful if you sit in the founder's chair at least once. And you sit there all the way from idea to exit.

You have a limited amount of capital and your goal is to maximize your chance of returns.
