It's not: Follow --> Connect --> DM and ask if there are job openings --> Get hired into your dream job. Networking is intentional, and takes time. Build meaningful and thoughtful connections with people. Develop relationships. Do all of this ESPECIALLY when you already have a job. When it comes time to find a new opportunity in AI or elsewhere, the relationships already exist, and people may already even be thinking of you as they open up roles on their teams. Be genuine.
