Mentors are the people who will encourage you to grow or either stay exactly where you are. This has nothing to do if you like personally the person but rather if you admire the person and their working culture. When choosing a mentor one has to look for diversity, as one has to have different point of views to be able to grow further and farther. A mentor has to challenge you to go out and about with different tasks and encourage you to go out of your comfort zone when doing it.

In my experience team diversity is key because with regards to a mission that is global you must be willing to reach different types of people with different backgrounds that share the same values. People have to challenge your assumptions and inspire your creativity to make you better. I like this.
