There was a well needed to be abandon but it had several challenges, sustained casing pressure, non-accessibility due to asphaltene in entire tubing. I went to client office & discussed the cleanout program for establishing wellbore accessibility & team was agreed(Xylene:Diesel as cleanout fluid with coil). We mobilized resources to Wellsite. Now during operation client engineers were not following the proposed quantity of chemicals (due to cost) & consequently poor cleanout & multiple coil runs. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, a meeting was held at site & advised them to follow agreed program and wellbore accessibility was successfully achieved. This underscored the balance b/w chemical cost & expenses associated with rig & other services.
