Not an expert in it but simple & most effective way to impress a client is by overdelivering the work if he/she is new or old you just need to stay consistent & needs to know how to manage your work. Not always but yeah if he is new best way to get & impress client. If you wanna stand out it's the best way to make it done.

Then discuss those 2 animations and see if anything has been missed (making sure your project time is still available to modify or redirect )

always preview and carefully check the details in your animation. sometimes a little mistake can ruin a good animation. either that be a wrong frame or timestamp of the transition. check it as much as you can, or you can have someone check your work also. some are keen in seeing little details that you miss.
