Sharing personal data is bad practice in general. A few things I remind myself when engaging with any website, service or on-line platform. "Is this information I would randomly volunteer to someone at the mall parking lot?" "Can this information be used against me maliciously today or in the future?" "Would I feel comfortable if my child shared this type of information online?" Knowing that my data could lead to increased risks against me and my family these basic examples help me limit what I share online.

An oldie but a good one! Learn to create passwords that are personal phrases replacing characters with special symbols or characters. Get used to using short phrases 12-18 characters. Use MFA everywhere regardless of how tedious and a nuisance it may be. Run your password through an online password checker!
