Would architects of the future use hand-drawn sketches? I do not know. What I do know is that the design process is iterative, and a designer must be able to show a high level of dexterity and fluidity to changes in design requirements and client preferences Hand-drawn sketches are used by Architectural Masters to show their command of design conceptualisation and expertise in manipulating forms. To be able to showcase this puts a certain unique personality and individualistic character to your portfolio Sure, there are other tools and strategies to achieve this. But when I hold the pen and share my thoughts, I solve problems on a different level. In the words of Robert Rauschenberg (1925-2008), "Success is a worn-out pencil"
