There are a lot of grants and scholarships for photographers and visual artists. Keep in mind, that while the majority of them are free to apply, there are some that require a fee or a subscription on top of the other qualifications needed. The Aftermath Project, The Hopper Prize, CAPA Grant, The Puffin Foundation, Right of Return Grant, W. Eugene Smith Grant, Women Photograph Project Grant, and Women Photograph with Leica are some of the ones I remember off the top of my head.
