In my approach to learning influencer marketing skills, I emphasize following relevant influencers. This provides insights into their content creation, engagement strategies, and brand collaborations. Actively engaging with them by asking questions and participating in discussions enhances my understanding. These interactions also foster valuable connections within their communities, contributing to skill enhancement through shared knowledge and collaborations.

One thing I’ve found helpful is in following the audience. You need to know your audience inside and out. What do they find interesting? How do they talk? What are they sharing on their own platform? Once you know them, you get an idea of which influencer would be the best to relate and connect with them. You know what content and messaging around the brand you need and can pick influencers you’re already sure they know and like. The audience helps you know which talent to pick for you strategy. Talk to them! One influencer does not fit all even within the same organization. We partner with completely different influencers depending on what the focus is at the time.

Personally I like to see past the brand. If I want to interact with influencers I want them to be ones that I watch, enjoy and have had a history with. Associating with influencers just for the sake of relevance can easily bland out a brand; remember that if you are a founder, you are as much of the brand as the corporation you have formed.

The courses span from basics to advanced strategies, analytics, content creation, and campaign management. The interactive nature of online learning lets me adapt at my pace, staying updated on trends and best practices. My dedication to continuous online learning ensures I navigate the evolving influencer marketing landscape adeptly.

Some other ways you can do this is look for an excellent influencer marketer and ask them to be your mentor. It is possible that these experts might be taking some courses/sessions, you can always enroll in them and learn with live lectures.

We let the influencer take the lead on what platform our message/creative will best fit with. They know where the most relevant engagement is that matches up with the demo we are trying to hit at that time. And we utilize the platforms they are stronger at than we are for an added boost.

It's important to also know your opportunity segment's platform preferences to help prioritize YOUR team's effort and time securing content creators, setting clear briefs, and making sure sales follow!

Remember that communities develop and sometimes there are dedicated community platforms that are not tailored for "business". Take Discord for example, an enormous community platform not centered around business such as "LinkedIn" or "Slack" from the examples. Follow the heart and passion, not the money and contracts; those will follow in turn.

Analytics and KPIs are commonly used to evaluate the effectiveness in marketing. That is all nice and good as long as you remember to account for intangible results. Your goodwill, reputation and standing within the communities as a corporation and even as a founder are far too greater of appreciation.
