For example, I’d write “Audience: Carlos, a new software user” and “Goal: Teach Carlos how to start using X software product.” Using a specific person you know (like Carlos) helps you make your content creation process more personal. Start with writing a script first. Only build a storyboard if you absolutely need to. From my experience, a well-crafted script is 10x more valuable than a storyboard. While storyboards can be useful for particular projects (with large budgets), they often consume unnecessary time and resources to build - time better used editing the first draft of the video itself. Unless you’re building high-end custom animations, consider skipping the storyboard phase and focus more energy on scriptwriting and editing. I often do.
