Also lot of quant can be done on data prior to visiualization. However it is desktop localized and can handle only 1million rows. Tableau on the other hand is easy to use and can handle large datasets . However limitation is that you will need to transform the data to fit into the visualisation and tool becomes slow incase of very large datasets. It's also licensed. Last one I want to discuss is D3, a free to use tool that can give you visualisations only limited by imagination. However usage require good coding skills and understanding of Java. Database connections are also a challenge.
