Dicho esto: #1ro y principal: Conocer y entender la necesidad del Cliente. Este análisis previo determinará si la opción 1 es la más adecuada o directamente la opción 2. #2do: Comprender qué Software se va a utilizar y para qué fin (hoy el Soft determina el Hard). #3ro: Instalar el HW adecuado al requerimiento anterior a fin de ecualizar costo/beneficio. (Un punto que se puede agregar aquí es el de tener en cuenta la escalabilidad que puedan tener los componentes en función de la necesidad/actualizaciones).

It used to be SW that pushed HW and now it is the other way around for good, HW pushes that SW and you must have solid skills. Python is a must in your tool case of knowledge. Keep yourself relevant so you can speak to the entire stack of technology. You may not be a master at it all, but you can have a great dialogue and bring the SME when required.

Los virus, gusanos, troyanos, malware, spyware, ransomware, el phishing, entre otros, avanzan a la par de la tecnología. Por ello es imprescindible estar al día, comprender los efectos y riesgos que estos causan y como prevenirlos.

El conocimiento que se adquiere a través del tiempo conociendo y aprendiendo los distintos sistemas operativos, actualizaciones, software obsoleto por ser creados para una tecnología que ya no tiene soporte alguno te permite visualizar sobre qué elementos trabajas y cuáles otros requieren cambios inmediatos. Intenta conocer un poco de la historia de tus usuarios, saluda, date y dale tiempo a tu usuario para que te cuente su problema,muchas veces no es técnico, explica con palabras sencillas lo que descubriste, el tiempo que demoraras en solucionar o si debes escalarlo, se empático y demuestre humanidad. Muchas veces en mi experiencia vi como los usuarios se quejaban de un técnico que tenían gran conocimiento pero muy poca empatía, se sentaban, con suerte saludaban y se iban una vez solucionado el inconveniente sin explicar nada.

De más está decir que esta habilidad es imprescindible. Obviamente, cuanto mayor sea nuestro conocimiento en el área, más rápido podremos solucionar un problema. Para ello se torna crucial: - Primero: Identificar el problema y comprender cuál es la causa raíz. - Segundo: Plantear opciones resolutivas y optar por la más adecuada. - Tercero: Evaluar el resultado y tomar medidas preventivas para que no se repita o para que, de surgir nuevamente, sea más fácil y rápida su resolución. - Tip: Documentar en una Bitácora o Base de Conocimientos las fallas y posibles soluciones nos ahorrarán tiempo, fomentará las buenas prácticas e incrementará nuestra “Habilidad de resolución de problemas”.

Solving an issue involves going trough different tools and finding each detail on logs, there will always be a moment where you won’t be able to find the solution and feel kind of stressed about that. Sit back for a second breath think about anything not related and breath again. The get back where you was and will be easier to find the root cause with a relaxed mind. Next time you encounter the issue you will be the expert who knows how to fix it and will be the most easy thing you have ever done. Think about all the times this happened in past and how each time you find a way to fix it.

People will gravitate to you naturally. There is no need to try to show off and impress others. Let your quality, customer-first work ethic speak for itself. People will take notice in a very positive way and want you back over and over.
