To baseline the scope we should follow below; 1. Define project objectives, deliverables, and boundaries. 2. Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). 3. Verify scope with stakeholders. 4. Control scope changes through a formal process. 5. Document the approved scope statement, WBS, and WBS dictionary as the baseline. 6. Communicate the baseline to all stakeholders. 7. Maintain version control to track changes and updates.

According to me; Earned value management (EVM), and trend analysis, to assess how well the project is adhering to its scope baseline and meeting stakeholder expectations. It helps project managers identify deviations from the planned scope, address issues promptly, and make informed decisions to keep the project on track.
