Their is a real solid collection of four different technologies one can use today to easily and quickly integrate API's: Kong Konnect, GraphQL, OIDC & OPA. Why GraphQL? It's a query language for APIs that lets you request exactly the data you need. With GraphQL, you no longer have to worry about pulling too much, or to little data. Konnect acts as a unified gateway for your APIs. OPA is a policy-based control solution that enables you to get real specific with access control policies. (OIDC) takes care of authentication. Sum IT up, GraphQL gives you granular control over data requests, Konnect acts as the gateway to your APIs, OPA enforces policies to secure access, and OIDC handles user authentication.
