关于我们
Formally opened in 2022 thanks to the philanthropic vision of Renee and Charles Brandes, The Brandes Center examines potential investment approaches that arise from structural and behavioral factors in global markets. Our research seeks to uncover investment strategies that may address long-term needs for institutional and individual investors. The Brandes Center draws its strength from diverse constituents, including plan sponsors, academics, advisors, managers, analysts, students, consultants, and others working in the investment industry and related fields. As a dedicated, value-added research center within the UC San Diego ecosystem, we view our role as a nexus of scholarly theory and practical application, bringing to life the Rady vision of “ideas to impact.” In collaboration with academics and practitioners, our research focuses on how investors may apply value investing principles while guarding against the damaging effects of behavioral biases in decision-making.

The SEC and Federal Reserve are designed to be independent. Based on research by Joey Engelberg, the Fed shows less political partisanship today vs. any point since the 1930s. But SEC Commissioners show the opposite trend. To learn more about how political partisanship has crept into investment decision-making and investment regulation, read The Brandes Center report, “Partisanship, Politics and Implications for Investors.” https://lnkd.in/gchDWXUE University of California, San Diego - Rady School of Management
