With extensive IT experience, I stress the importance of thoroughly testing and regularly updating software documentation before sharing it with clients. Testing ensures that the documentation accurately reflects the software's functionality and features. Regular updates are essential to keep the documentation aligned with any changes or enhancements made to the software over time. By maintaining up-to-date documentation, clients can rely on accurate and relevant information to better understand and utilize the software effectively. This practice fosters trust and confidence in the software's capabilities, enhancing client satisfaction and communication.

Even with the most thoroughly written and the most well presented documentation may not be enough. Remember the goal of the documentation is to offer support. Is there a contact who can help the end users who use the documentation? Something to consider.
