It is great to let people know right at the outset, how much time the entire feedback exercise will take. That will allow them to mentally be available for that amount of time to provide feedback as opposed to abandoning a survey half-way through.

What do they already like to do? What is important to them? Is there an event, action, or product with which you can collaborate to increase the likelihood that you will get the feedback needed?
