I don't usually need that much low end so I would do a gentle high pass/low cut roll (-6dB/oct) at around 75-90Hz depending on each mix. Using a bell curve to cut muddy/boxiness of the vocals (200-500Hz) I tend to start at -1dB and work my way to around as your ears are your bestfriend.
