My Best advice consists of first principle breakdown of the game What essentially makes up the game ? Game interaction Game mechanics say you have mario its breakdown is in the backend physics like jumping is adding force I can visualize adding force like a push hence to add a layer of AR I can try jumping my game character from 1 table to another while represting that jump visually but that is shallow because i am forcefully adding AR there There is a need of diegetic addition of AR like in medical field where you get AR instructions , or gymming where AR can match your pose to a virtual world map and tell you if you posture is correct learning with AR can work as a potent feedback loop

When Designing the AR Interactions make sure you need AR but not forcing AR to the solution How do you get to know if you need it simple if it can happen in virtual world like a simulation then AR is not needed apparantly To create AR content you need to use the USP of AR one such is - Immersion between real and virtual world - AR can make your whole body act as an input hub - AR can allow you to take up real world objects virtual and simulate then take it back to real All in all if you think in terms of needs & USP of AR and answer why you should not use AR or what difference it makes to my player interaction in AR then only its worth it : )

User feedback: User feedback can be collected through surveys, ratings, interviews, or observations, to measure the user’s perception and attitude towards the AR experience. Performance metrics: Performance metrics can be used to measure the user’s behavior and interaction with the AR application, such as completion time, accuracy, errors, or engagement.
