For smooth team communication, it's really helpful to share as much as possible. Share openly and regularly. Don't assume that others know something or think that a small detail isn't important. Tell your team everything they need to know. This way, everyone understands what's going on and there are fewer mix-ups. Open and lots of communication helps everyone feel included and up-to-date.

Selecting appropriate communication tools is crucial. Opt for platforms that suit your team's needs – whether it's for instant messaging, video conferencing, or task management. Ensure these tools are user-friendly and integrate well with other software your team uses. This leads to a seamless flow of information and keeps everyone on the same page.

Apart from proper tools to communicate, I would say be accessible for the team to reach out to you for any stuff weather it's professional or personal. Plan regular weekly meeting to communicate with team and be active listener for team's concern. Also, do team bonding activity and be active part of it so that team find it easy to speak with collogue and you as well.

In my opinion, communication is extremely important. Teammates might work on different features of the website and it is extremely important to communicate on the recent updates, the issues faced during the development, and the solutions used to fix the issues. It is effective following the agile methodology where all the teammates can connect on a 15 minutes daily standup call. In addition to that, documenting is important and using wiki pages to capture different ideas, designs, solutions for an issue, etc is extremely effective.

This should then be documented so when needed it can be used to follow trough and also used for new comers so they don't repeat the same failure.
