A tool I have been using to compliment the learning space for intact groups is creating Teams sites where participants can connect and continue to socialize outside of the structured learning time. Some participants love it others, not so much, but it's another option to continue community building.

With the transition to online learning, I have had to up my technology game. I have to continuously learn about all the tools available via online platforms for keeping the program interesting and engaging. I feel out of my element, but it's important to learn and try all the tools available.

I’ve been an academic for 15 yrs with 3 of those years teaching remotely. But even prior to remote teaching, I realised that each student has their own way of processing and making sense of information. It’s always helpful to get an idea of what educational backgrounds your student come from, and try different learning methods - and have them give you feedback on their effectiveness. Realising you can’t please everyone, but still allowing your learners to have a say in what worked, what didn’t and what ideas they suggest. Try them out and adjust every term (or opportunity). It also breaks the cycle of routine for you.
