Solo Stove was a great marketing campaign utilizing Snoop Dogg saying he would "give up smoke" which brought news headlines all over the globe. A week later they launched the campaign "Go smokeless with Solo Stove". Great execution and a very well-thought out campaign. The afterplay was even more interesting. They ended up firing their CEO as he said "... it did not lead to the sales lift that we had planned". Pretty interesting to see, as the results often will be displayed long term with a more Brand Awareness focused campaign like this. This also shows the importance of aligning goals before the start across teams. I think they lost a few marketeers as potential customers (and maybe also as future employees?)
