1 Align them with your game goals

When I think about achievements I don't like to think in numbers, like we have in great part of the games, you have a number of the same to get an achievement, like kill 50 Rats = achievement level 1, kill 100 Rats = achievement level 2, we see it in a lot of games, and realy it's not memorable, one achievement needs to be something memorable like something that is hard to make one time, like in Counter Strike you have how to kill two players with only one shot of AWP, but is something hard to do, it needs to be an Achievement, or in PUBG maybe you can kill some enemies with only one granade, it's a memorable thing andneeds to be an Achievement.

Be careful when including "collect ALL items" achievements. Can you ensure all collectibles are accessible to the player? If your game has 20 collectibles and the player must gather all 20, ensure they are all reachable to avoid frustration. As a safety measure, consider having the player collect a smaller quantity than the total in case any collectible encounters a bug/ issues. Will collecting all items change my gaming experience? Merely collecting items for the sake of it may discourage players if the items don't offer meaningful rewards or enhance gameplay. Consider collectibles that alter the player's experience, providing depth to the story or elements that incentivize players to collect for both the achievement and gameplay benefits

APEX Legends by Respawn does this very effectively. Depending on your game style (tanky, aggresive or a mix) you get to earn certain badges that is shown on your player card. Till here, this is nothing crazy. However, game shows every players badges before a round start, put winners in game walls, sometimes even highlights them. This is where all these achievements and badges actually shine. If aint nobody going to see, whats the point of getting them in the first place?
