Been prepared for any questions that may be asked, focus on having good real life examples that you have personally dealt with and be honest if you have not. Be well educated about the management position that your applying for as well as the Company, its vision and offerings. these show great management skills during an interview as it shows you are prepared and well planned.

Fail to give examples of “ i hve been there , done that” always prepare with examples … most questions are answered with a practical example. You wont get examples by thinking on your feet, prepare examples in advance using the JD of the role or similar role. Where you have no example answer in a way that shows you can learn .

In my experience, Been vague can be detrimental to your interview. If you don't know something, rather be honest than try talk around it. By doing this it shows your trustworthy personality and ability to admit when your don't know something. Skills can be taught but personality cant be.

One thing I cannot state enough, DO NOT bad mouth anyone or thing during your interview. Automatically the thinking of you is negative. It doesn't matter how awful your current or previous jobs or managers have been, there is a way of putting that across. In the situation where you are working for a toxic employer or manager, always use the phrase, seeking a good company culture. You can then expand on that from there, but best to keep personal views to an absolute minimum. The automatic thinking is that you'll be doing the same of this company and perhaps you're just a negative person.
