What role does technology play in enhancing critical thinking in education?

Digital tools have eqipped our students to explore different aspects of the theory they are studying in classroom. which in turn help students to think more Why and How of things happening around them. Digital tools are useful to quench their thirst of knowledge, they are more engaged in learning with the help of simulations, gaming, VR, virtual labs. this engagement help them think critically and explore more and more about a concept.

Digitale Tools in der Schule: Ihr müsst nur mit der xy Software arbeiten, das würde die Schule soviel besser machen. Ja, kann sein, doch insbesondere durch KI (die mich ironischerweise zur Mitarbeit an diesem Beitrag ermuntert hat) rückt der Lernprozess und das kritische Denken immer st?rker in den Vordergrund. Und wir k?nnen wir das erreichen? über Kommunikation. Mit unseren Schülerinnen und Schülern ins Gespr?ch kommen. Sich über Ansichten und Erfahrungen austauschen. Eine neue Perspektive einnehmen. Vielleicht auch über ein neues Tool oder eine neue Software sprechen. Ich bin wirklich Fan der Digitalisierung (ok, nicht immer und überall, aber oft). Was wir nicht brauchen ist eine Toolifizierung von Bildung sondern eine Vermenschlichung.

However, it's not all about the tool. Tools enable or enhance experiences but the experience still has to be targeted and well planned. For example, with critical thinking, using digital tools to create dynamic environments in which to play out scenarios and simulations is an invaluable resource. But, there needs to be a considerable amount of knowledge building on a topic first before one can think critically about it. Always think about how the tool can fit the pedagogy, not how a pedagogy can fit in the tool.

Cuando alguien se pregunta "?Qué papel juega la tecnología en la mejora del pensamiento crítico en la educación?" habría que preguntarle, a su vez, al que formula la cuestión ?A qué tecnología te refieres? ?A la imprenta? ?A la fotografía? ?A la radio? ?A...? Si la pregunta es tan amplia, la respuesta necesariamente ha de ser genérica: algo así como "la tecnología, siempre y necesariamente, tiene un papel de recurso, de medio, y como tal puede ser utilizada para fomentar el pensamiento crítico o para lo contrario, para cristalizar, solidificar, pensamientos cerrados, ideológicos". El desarrollo del sentido crítico pasa, paradójicamente, por cuestionarse incluso los medios convencionales con los que habitualmente se pretende fomentarlo.

Als Teil der 4k Didaktik ist Kreativit?t ein zentrales Element, das sich in heutigen Lernsettings wiederfinden sollte. Was grenzt uns von der KI (die heute vermeintlich kreativ ist) ab. Es ist die echte (neue) Kreativit?t, die es uns jenseits von Berechnung und Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Pixels erm?glicht, uns auszudrücken.

Als im letzten Jahr Metaverse und Bildung immer mehr in den Schlagzeilen pr?sent wurde, hatte ich schon gro?e Hoffnungen. Insbesondere in Virtual Reality und Gamification stecken nach meinen langj?hrigen Erfahrungen Potentiale, die extrem gute Erfolge garantieren k?nnen. Metaverse und Bildung stellt für mich den Schlüssel zum L?sen einiger Probleme dar - nicht aller, aber einer ganzen Menge. Besonders interessant ist, dass hier mit sehr individuellen Strategien im Gefüge unserer Bildung im Sinne einer h?chst pragmatischen Erg?nzung zur "normalen" Bildung viel zu gestalten ist. Sachsen-Anhalt hat mit Ver?nderungen in der Stundentafel der Sekundarschulen und dem 4Plus1-Modell in ganz besonderer Art Platz für einen Ansatzpunkt geschaffen.

Hier sehe ich das wirklich gro?e Potential von KI-basierten Lernsystemen. Insbesondere bei übungen (z.B. beim Vokabeln lernen, Grammatikregeln, 1x1), die nicht dauerndes Feedback eines Lernpartners / einer Lernpartnerin ben?tigen, kann uns die KI über individualisierte Lernpfade viel st?rker unterstützen als "klassischer Unterricht".

Gegen Fachkr?ftemangel und die hohen Zahlen beim Bildungsversagen - übrigens auch gegen die Unzufriedenheit auf den Stra?en unserer deutschen Demokratie bzw. auf derzeit extrem vielen Ebenen unseres globalen Zusammenlebens - hilft nur Bildung. Die kann heute nicht mehr allein durch die kompakte Form des schulischer Bildung und Erziehung vermittelt werden, sondern muss schon aus der Schule heraus immer mehr pers?nlich angepasst gestaltet werden, wenn man nach den offiziellen Bildungswegen mit dem n?tigen Erfolg in das nun immer notwendiger werdende Selbstlernen überleiten will. Diese wichtigen Prozesse zum Aussch?pfen unserer gesellschaftlichen Potentiale und zum Vernetzen unserer Gemeinschaft k?nnen nur auf digitaler Basis gestaltet werden.
