In my Database Systems class, I took a very old website filled with XML files about movies for a project. I parsed through each and every attribute using XML parser and I extracted it into a CSV for each relation. I then with a group member designed the Postgres database from scratch. We then made publisher scripts that inserted our CSV data into the database. We then cooked up 25 queries to report on our project findings. It was a really great opportunity go through the process of extracting data and loading it into a centralized database.
