Agile in its purest form emphasise people over process. So large formal test plans aren't often used. I prefer a "test approach" a more strategic document to guide the team on how to test. For example guidance on defect management or uat best practices. As opposed to a list of formal test cases can be an option.

Testing is context-dependent. We cannot just create test criteria and apply them to all the projects. If you're testing the bank app, the criteria would be more focused on the security testing and user's data. While testing social apps, the main focus is user experience. In the game testing, user entertainment, and graphics would be focused on testing criteria.

In Agile, as the requirements update is inevitable, so the test-case update is. Without an update in the test case, you'll waste time. Because you'll just try to test stuff by taking guidance from the old version of the test doc.
