Ask yourself, "How much effort does it take to engage on social media?" - In most cases, it takes minimal effort, and you have to ask yourself, is that truly a sign that my event was a success? A fellow professional speaker held his annual speaker BootCamp, and he only took ten people. I found that every one of those ten people did a 200 to 300-word writeup about the event with hashtags and mentions. That is a lot of effort, a sign of success for me. What would "successful effort" look like for you and your event?

I only took NPS seriously once I started running it in all my entrepreneurship development programmes, and it opened my eyes to a world I did not know existed. My two-day course has an average NPS of 80%, and my 4-week entrepreneurship apprenticeship practical has an NPS of 85%. Because my work is about helping unemployed people start businesses in some of the worst places in Africa, you really see how this measure leads to the upliftment and bettering of the whole community as they begin teaching each other the skills they learned in my class. Thinking about this makes me emotional. What would this mean for you and your event? How does it look like?
