Full stack, in my opinion, is mostly buzz and not substance. You could be full within a stack; but, you cannot be full stack. There will inevitably be some additional aspect you need to learn and that's the beauty of this field. Full stack for one company may look like a Node backend with React web frontend, and a react native mobile experience. JS across the board. Another may look like Go microservices, an Angular web frontend, and native iOS and Android mobile frontend. Another may be entirely made up of niche legacy services. Full stack is inherently ambiguous and should not be what a new developer is striving for. Learn the systems you work on and be full within your stack.
Actually there are some reasonable things of why being a Fullstack Devs and make it in high demand nowadays. The most ordinary reason is that there's so many companies that is not really really needed an advancement technology. They only use technology just for informing their customer, for counting their money from a small transaction, or in a medium company like a hospital group that doesn't focused on software tech development. Another examples are from a small software house that only have small client, or just a freelancer that only serves some person-level-project so monolith is still a choices.
