1 What is SCORM?

SCORM stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model, and it is a set of specifications that define how e-learning content and systems should communicate with each other. SCORM enables interoperability, reusability, and accessibility of online learning content across different platforms and devices. It also allows tracking and reporting of learners' progress, performance, and interactions with the content. SCORM consists of four main components: content aggregation model, run-time environment, sequencing and navigation, and metadata.

An excellent method for using SCORM for peer assessment is to allow students to peer review their essays. By having students upload their essays to a program and then randomly assign them an evaluator the student will receive feedback from a different point of view than the instructors. You could also assign multiple papers to each person so that students have a wider variety of perspectives to consider.
