I agree to all the points mentioned and In my opinion, enterprise network perimeter has diminished to a great degree and old school network boundaries are almost extinct. Needless to say that, Endpoint is new perimeter and ZTNA is the right approach to protect them against evolving threat landscape. But off late we are dealing with tool sprawl and client side endpoint engineering needs some work to simplify the agent footprint. Example: can i do VPN, SWG, Vuln scans, Patching, MDM, DLP, CASB, backup, EDR, IDR using same agent, as opposed to use 5 agents which is resulting in friction and unhappy customer experience to corporate workforce.
