El planteamiento del problema está mal formulado. El desarrollo, por definición, incluye sustentabilidad ambiental. Si no, no es desarrollo. Se aplica en la presentación un error común, extremadamente nocivo, de homologar desarrollo con crecimiento económico. Fijar el objetivo de políticas en el crecimiento en lugar del desarrollo, es la causa central de la destrucción de nuestros ecosistemas y de la biodiversidad

Identity areas of greater importance which shouldnt be disturbed at all. And adjust the projects. Alternatives always have to be used while evaluating a project In other areas offset the disturbance creating protected areas or enhancing the existing ones. Try to restore the areas affected Estimate value of protected areas considering their environmental services

Biodiversity protection on a micro & macro level are essential. Builders will always need to make decisions about the creatures they encounter. Preserve all life, a code of conduct for builders and landscapers. Green and non-green builds differ. A Green build has some materials more costly, yet cost saving potential is much better. Reduce the cost of a build by 50%, pre-plan upcycled materials. My build used 90% upcycled timber, stone, new bamboo, insulating plaster. Get materials at low, no cost from pre-build. Effective storage, imagination, materials redesign, flexible design vital factors. Big builds can save vastly on full time sourcing & upcycling restoring team & shipping boxes. Market Place, gumtree, recycle centres, freeads etc.

Monitoring means to collect and analyze data on the status and trends of biodiversity indicators, such as species richness, abundance, or distribution. Reporting means to communicate and disclose the results and findings of your monitoring, as well as the challenges and lessons learned, to your stakeholders and the public. By monitoring and reporting, you can evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of your project, and identify the areas for improvement or adaptation.

Learning and improving are continuous processes that help you enhance your knowledge and skills in biodiversity conservation, and apply them to your current and future projects. Learning means to seek and acquire new information, ideas, or practices from various sources, such as research, literature, experts, or peers. Improving means to use your learning to update or modify your project plans, actions, or goals, and to adopt or innovate new solutions or approaches. By learning and improving, you can increase your capacity and competence in protecting biodiversity during development, and contribute to the global efforts for sustainable development.

Corporate Social Responsibility, at it's best when people scale. A company can bond it's brand to new, wow projects. If the design is apt and worthy then social media can be near perpetual. For example, I have innovated a rapid build housing model that can be as useful to people affected by climatic events etc. A Multi-national idea potentially. A company investing in that can be associated with an answer linking their brand to a continual 21st Century tangible need, the marketing benefit perpetuating years, decades in many different countries. Look to crowdfunding for ideas, relate innovation of win-win benefit. This produces customer rapport and loyalty to connected, what's next types of thinkers. Oh, have you seen this new idea....

Repeating my take in Spanish, the whole question is wrongly stated, equating "development" with "growth", because development embodies sustainability, by definition. Growth however, refers solely to the economic process of expanding production. Having been the center of public policy worldwide, this nefarious misconception has been by far the largest responsible for biodiversity reduction and ecosystem destruction. If we are -seriously- interested in preserving what we have left of our planetary home, we must refocus drastically our public and private endeavors towards welfare and justice, away from the destructive economics centered paradigm that has led mankind since the first industrial revolution. We just don't have an unlimited world.

I had a presenter from the BBC, To Buy or Not to Buy and the editor of Whatgreenhome.com The biggest specialist estate agent stay at my green build in Spain. I asked them how much they estimate the total build cost? These are top experts, yet their estimates were 1/3 higher than the real cost. The secret, value having an upcycling program, flexible design depending upon what materials sourced. Storage from the start and materials sourced, restored over years. Storing waste for reuse, shipping container, not skip. Incorporate green build training, have an adaptive design approach. Think, listen to people, encounter a problem; Stop. think, talk & youtube. Your architect as a guide. Value your builders ideas, listen, improve upon ideas.
