For long life and reduce the maintenance of SRP system need - 1. Fluid level analysis - Submerged barrel in a such way that it won't create any fluid pound condition and too high fluid level as it will increase static back pressure. 2. In theory there is an artificial lift system that fits each well but on the practical side you cannot afford to have multiple systems as maintenance and other economic-related factors limit the selection. So, in essence focus on a system that covers let say 70 - 80 % of the wells (apply Pareto principle if you want) and work with it. Have specialists on every aspect of that equipment so everytime you have a problem most likely you will have the solution inmediately. For the remaining wells apply the same principle. At the end you will come up with two or three systems nothing more. But remember if there is a new technology that is being introduced do not discard it because you do not want another system, evaluate it!

Finally, to analyze in detail each artificial system and its best application and economics in the life of the well, I had the opportunity to study and apply a system that was developed in the company of which I was part. En mi experiencia con los sistemas PCP, debe siempre instalarse una sarta de varillas y pony rod del mismo diámetro para evitar fallas prematuras, al igual que tomar en cuenta todos los factores influyentes al momento del posicionamiento del rotor en en el estator. En cuanto al cabezal de rotación, se necesita una buena lubricación, reemplazando el aceite en su debido tiempo y chequear las temperaturas de operacion, llevando un mantenimiento preventivo adecuado le da mucha vida a los rodamientos de este equipo. Siempre se debe comparar los datos que maneja el VFD y mantener las conexiones eléctricas, para tener una buena lectura y los puntos calientes no nos hagan tomar datos erróneos del sistema.

PCP is one the best methods for artificial lift, can guarantee continues fluid from formation to wellbore. Also needs continues check on the dynamic fluid level so the pump is not burn out.

I’ve used jet pumps in the past and found them to be very effective. As you can retrieve the pump by reversing circulation. The power fluid acts as a hot oiler if ran with indirect heater. Minimal maintenance and down time. I’ve ran rods on beam pumps these are long term more likely to have issues. ESPs are awesome for high flow rates but will require a full WORKOVER to replace. TBH quite a fan of jet pumps.

In my opinion, extraction system depends on characteristics of reservoir (temperature and pressure), fluids ( gas or oil with or without h2s), as well as, the depth of well.
