Always spend time to clean up the acquired data as its mostly collected in the raw format. 2. A single type of model cannot fit all the different kinds of data for analysis. Similarly, a single type of visualisation is not good enough to visualise all the data. Play around different type of problems for getting the perfect fit for most of the problems. 3. Always be open to feedback and criticism if you want to get better and better. Things might take time but the day to day improvement depends upon the heart you put out towards the practice and trial of new models.

Remember that data science is only as good as the underlying data. Always start there with simple exploration and analytics. If you can find ways to improve that data (e.g. address outliers) or better connect it to the problem you are seeking to solve (e.g. supplement with other data sources if critical information is missing), that is often just as or more powerful than the science built on said data. Do this first because if you do it after building a model, you'll often have to rebuild said models which costs a lot of time (tech debt).
