Analizar fortalezas y debilidades en innovación es fundamental para comprender cómo implementar nuestra estrategia innovadora. Las debilidades pueden ir desde una falta de recursos, una cultura contraria al riesgo, objetivos poco claros o un liderazgo innovador pobre. La cuestión es que, al igual que con otra estrategia, nuestra política de innovación debe mejorar todas estas debilidades si queremos dar una oportunidad a la innovación en la organización. También podemos considerar las debilidades a nivel personal como innovadores. Las debilidades entonces pueden ir desde la falta de formación, habilidades personales pobres en innovación o una mentalidad contraria al riesgo y o a la creatividad.

Construir un perfil innovador sólido significa ponernos manos a la obra con las debilidades que tenemos como innovadores. Podemos mejorar a través de la formación, del mentoring de innovadores expertos, de la experiencia dentro de proyectos de innovación. Lo más complicado es cambiar nuestro mindset, nuestra forma de pensar y las creencias que tenemos frente al riesgo, el cambio o las oportunidades. Mi recomendación es que construyamos una mentalidad de crecimiento, lo cual nos servirá para afrontar la innovación como una gran oportunidad.
