What are the most effective ways to create a candidate experience that stands out?

Tailor communication and interactions based on the candidate's needs and preferences. Thorough Understanding of Candidates: Invest time in understanding the candidate's career aspirations, strengths, and motivations. Conduct in-depth interviews to assess their skills, cultural fit, and leadership qualities. Expertise and Insights Sharing: Share industry insights, market trends, and relevant information about potential career opportunities. Demonstrate expertise in the field by providing valuable guidance and advice.

We found that sharing a detailed day in the life video for each role significantly helped candidates understand the role. This transparency led to better informed candidates and higher quality final interviews.

So according to me keeping transparency with the candidate is very important not only for their convenience but also for company and recruiter reputation. We can achieve it in following ways: 1)Making them aware of all the terms and conditions required for the role we are reaching to them. 2) Clear conversation on compensation should be done to to ignore any confusion . 3)If we are are hiring for any role which requires for 24/7 shift we should clearly communicate to them regarding it ,if they are comfortable or not. 4) The most important point is passing the concrete feedback to the candidate no matter whether they are selected or not ,it's their right to know the feedback negative or positive it will help them moving ahead.

Job search is usually a stressful and frustrating experience for candidates. Being transparent since the candidate reads the job description is fundamental. Based on my experience, candidates would be extremely satisfied if: - The job description includes compensation, duties and reporting structure. - The whole interview process is explained and personalised to their needs. - Recruiters are honest and keep the candidate informed and engaged. - Recruiters support candidates by sharing constructive feedback and preparing them for interviews. - The candidate feels free to ask relevant questions outside the official interview stages. I still remember all the names of the recruiters who helped me ace interviews over the years.

Own their trust & listen to what they're looking( consider them for future opportunities if not the actual one). Communicate timeline:what to expect from the hiring team,interviewers & explain each process part. Update&guide them through the stages with tips & prepare for interviews. Make sure to reach out before & after the interview. Share the news personally: provide feedback,highlight the strengths & pinpoint improvement plus express gratitude to participate. Send a survey to measure satisfaction or ask via phone,email. Establish a good relation for future opportunities or referrals helps to build recruiter brand & company image.

Look up the pronunciation before hand. 2. Notice any hobbies or shared interests? Mention them during your interview. 3. Do they have an objective or career goal in their resume summary? Candidates while applying to the role in the company also curious to know the hiring process and i think it is okay.Making them aware about the hiring process boost their confidence somehow. It can achieve in following ways: 1) Proper conversation with the the hiring manager and team. 2) Gathering proper feedback from the interview panels. 3) Should itself (recruiter)present in the interview calls along with the candidate and hiring manager to conduct the Interview smoothly. 4) Should clearly explain the Job description and nature of hiring including about the team and hiring manager to the candidate .

As a recruiter, you are the first to person to represent the company to your candidate. Try your best to give the candidate a positive experience that you would have appreciated when you were a job seeker.

Be Informative Many a time, a candidate is looking for information throught out the recruitment process. Provide those proactively. Below are what I can think of : 1. Information about organization's business performance and performance of the unit candidate has applied for. 2. Information about the role and its future prospects. 3. Information about hiring manager and team. 4. Information about organization's culture and benefits. 5. Information about organization's culture, approach towards DEI, ESG and such impactful topics.

So there were instances where I found the recruiter do not co-operate with the candidate giving them proper feedback on the interview happen or recruiter give hope to the candidates that their resume is shortlisted will be moving ahead with the interview but somehow could not do in time without giving any notification to the candidates. Candidates end up with the incomplete conversation as as consequences they left with very bad experience. Hence I would like to suggest being a recruiter it's our job to pass feedback to the candidate related to his/her candidature it's their right to know.

With Technology taking over many aspects of our lives, we see that it is becoming harder for individuals to hold long meaningful conversations. One quote I always refer back to is "people will forget what you said or did but people will always remember how you made them feel". It is important to have conversations where you take the time to get to know the individual, their interests, ask good questions, have a laugh and not take yourself too seriously. This way you will be memorable and stand out from a candidate experience perspective.
