Don't stop learning.. have the passion to learn everyday new things in this field..start with one cloud provider and dig deeper in it .. be always patient enough and always keen to learn from everyone despite his level of experience..start with general knowledge and then focus in specific niche (e.g security, devops , ML, .. etc) .. stay updated as cloud is constantly evolving everyday.. practice as much as you can .. engage yourself with highly motivated cloud expertise.. don't give up if you struggled .. remember you will achieve your goal if you have a constant willingness to learn

Embracing change in skills is an imperative. To be relevant tomorrow, one has to be known for something. Cloud is the future but not just that - one needs to be an SME of something in the cloud. For example, one can advocate Serverless computing. I was amazed about this the first time I ever learned of it years ago! It's not serverless as we know, its the provider doing the heavy-lifting of the infra while you run your event-driven applications/code in the cloud, while automatically provisioning compute resources. Your website could be getting one request a sec or a thousand the next, Serverless is the answer! Start-up time is in seconds and auto-scale, dynamic scaling web-apps, asynchronous jobs, etc. And save money while you're at it!

In my humble opinion, if I have to find one thing, then that would be understanding the cloud. You need to understand what is the cloud and what it isn’t; once you’ve done that you will easilt figure out what you should do and what you shouldn’t. Reaching that point will help you design elegant, robust and economically viable solutions, and this what will make you stand out from the crowds.

In my experience certifications are also important. All the cloud vendors have their certification program. I'd recommend not to do it just for sake of getting the certificate, but rather try to take this as an opportunirty to learn. What makes it even a greater options is, you will build small things here and there following trainings and that could turn into your portfolio

In my experience, getting cloud certifications helps to validate two things 1) Your willingness to learn theory and concepts to create opportunities for yourself, and 2) As a way to validate your experience with the cloud to show subject matter expertise. I've had this work throughout my own career when I first broke into the cloud computing space within consulting. I certified myself by achieving all of the AWS Associate certifications. This created opportunities for me to pursue projects and gain real world experience deploying solutions. After multiple years of this work, I achieved the AWS Professional certifications and branched out to both GCP and Azure to continue learning. Don't wait - getting certified is a great way to start!

Getting certified and a lot of hands on labs will give you an edge over and above other people in the field. When you approach interviews, you will be confident in your theoretical knowledge and practical experience
