Für schnelle, gute Ergebnisse mit geringen Aufwand eigenen sich vor allem dynamische Podcadtmikrofone. Das ist besonders dann hilfreich, wenn die Ersteller des E-Learnings nicht über professionelle Studior?ume verfügen. Dynamische Podcastmikrofone wie R?de Podcaster oder Procaster sind unempfindlich gegenüber Raumhall, und liefern daher auch in akustisch ungünstigen Umgebungen gute Ergebnisse.

Normalisieren ist nur notwendig, wenn der Aufnahmepegel zu gering ist (dann alle Clips gemeinsam normalisieren) oder mit unterschiedlichen Pegeln aufgenommen wurde (Clips einzeln normalisieren). Wichtig ist je nach verwendeten Mikrofon und Aufnahmeraum auch noch Denoising, um st?rkendes Rauschen von Mikrofonvorverst?rkern oder Computerlüftern zu eliminieren. Meine Empfehlung hierfür ist die Restauration Suite von Acon Digital: günstig, einfach zu bedienen und hochwertige Ergebnisse!

Beware of over-processing voices and full mixes. When you eliminate natural dynamics from voices by letting the processor (compressor, limiter, even de-essers) do the job of the engineer, you create a product that can really wear out a listener and cause him or her to stop paying attention or stop the audio entirely. Your VU meters should show fluctuations in level, not just look like they are "frozen" at 0 VU! It's ok to compress or limit voice tracks to smooth out levels, but using "brick wall" limiting will assault listeners' ears.

Reverb on voice tracks can more often than not reduce intelligibility and "muddy up" the sound. Use it sparingly for special effects or emphasis, such as creating "a walk thru the mind of" someone, as they reflect on their thoughts, or a Santa Claus "Ho ho ho!" as he descends a chimney. Don't automatically add reverb to everything; even the best, cleanest reverb can overwhelm a voice.

Bei E-Learnings sollten h?chstens kurze Intro- und Outro-Jingles benutzt werden, aber keine konstanten Musikbetten. Das lenkt nur ab. Deutlich pr?ziser als Ducking ist der Einsatz von Automationen, um Stimme und Musik überzublenden.

When doing the final mix, make sure to play it through small speakers similar to the intended playback devices. That means if it's a soundtrack for TV, listen to it on a TV-type speaker (don't assume everyone listens to TV on huge surround systems), play it back on "earpods," as well as traditional monitors. Check your mix at different listening levels. I often check a mix by playing it back in my shower. If I can hear the voice and music clearly, even while the water was running, I'm more confidant the mix would work anywhere. Stereo music and effects are great, but they don't always sound the way you'd expect when played in mono. And don't pan voices hard left or right, as someone sitting near one speaker could miss something.
