What are the most common tools for project management in community outreach?

In my experience, the best tools to utilize in community outreach is being prepared as the first step. An example is knowing your communities needs and letting them have a voice. Then you can provide them with resources that become tools to be utilized. I agree but, we first need to learn also to incentivize to gain more popularity creating win/win situations. I have often implemented communication plans and awareness activities. These are the first seeds of brainstorming and developing a Skelton for our actions. Recently, I've been using ProSci tools to develop communication plans. Actually utilizing the ADKAR framework and developing clear communication plans have made a huge difference in demonstrating the mission, vision, strengths, weaknesses, benefits, and consequences of our project. The most pillar for managing any community outreach project it is the team who working on that. Building the appropriate team that has communication, public relations, and other related skills and experiences that suit with outreach approach.

For my location, we utilize our school improvement goals and district Community School goals to measure our success. Each program is developed to meet and address the targeted goals. Those goals are measured either by attendees, surveys, attendance data, or testing results. Analyzing the data can be done with simple quantitative or qualitative means. Sharing the data with leadership, partners, and families is critical to drive improvement and conversations.

In this work, the key stakeholders are our communities. In my case, they are students, families, school faculty and leaders, and partners. Every action that takes place is centered around family support and student well-being. Each outcome has to target these two constituents because the bottom line ensures that our work is to targeted and dedicated to prop them up for success.
